Education and Certifications:
Ray received his Bachelors in Exercise Science in 2007 from the State University of New York at Buffalo and his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from D’Youville College in 2010. After graduate school, Ray was accepted into the Institute of Physical Art’s (IPA) Orthopedic Manual Therapy Residency Program at Chicago’s Body Gears PT clinic. During his time at Body Gears PT, he specific manual therapy skills while also doing extensive Bike Fitting training with renowned PT and Team Garmin Bike Fitter Curtis Cramblett. In 2012, Ray passed the Institute of Physical Art’s Functional Manual Therapy Certification exam with Honors and is currently working towards the Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) board certification through the Academy of Orthopaedic Physical Therapy to further refine his skills and provide the best care for his patients.During Ray’s time in Chicago, he specialized in working with cyclists and tri-athletes. He was the Bike Fitter for Vision Quest Coaching Chicago and worked extensively with Chicago Tri-athlete Club. Ray was certified as a bike fitter with The Fit Institute of Slow Twitch and Bike PT. At Kinetic Energy PT, he will be providing a unique style of Bike Fitting that addresses issues of both the bike and the body.
Ray truly enjoys the outdoors, spending his weekends cycling, mountain biking, skiing, hiking and camping with his wife Khristin and their dog Harley. Ray played hockey at the University at Buffalo and continues to enjoy skating in local men’s leagues.
