Education and Certifications

Alek received his Bachelors in Movement Science from the University of Michigan. He then went on to complete his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Utah. During this time, Alek found a passion for manual therapy, exercise science, and functional movement, completing several intensive orthopedic specific clinical internships. Alek has training through the North American Institute of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy (NAIOMT) along with certifications in Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and Functional Dry Needling (FDN).

Personal Interests:

Outdoor recreation has long been a passion of Alek’s. Prior to and during Physical Therapy school, Alek has worked with different adaptive sports programs, providing recreational opportunities for individuals with various disabilities. In his free time, Alek enjoys skiing, mountain biking, hiking, and backpacking with his fiancé and two dogs. In addition, Alek has played soccer for as long as he can remember, and also enjoys weightlifting, playing the banjo, and archery.
