Finn Gerstell
Education and Certifications:
Finn received a BS in 1999 and a Master’s of physical therapy degree in 2001 from the University of Utah. Finn was awarded board certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties in 2004. He is currently a Fellow in Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy at Regis University, and is also pursuing a clinical doctorate degree at Regis.
Finn’s clinical interests include sports and orthopedic disorders of the extremities, low back and neck pain, ACL injury prevention, and the clinical application of evidence based practice.
Work and Volunteer Experience:
Finn’s physical therapy career began in the U.S. Navy, where he served as a Hospital Corpsman and eventually was trained as a physical therapy technician. He gained valuable experience and eventually left the military to pursue a physical therapy degree.
Prior to graduation, Finn interned with the University of Utah sports medicine and athletic training departments as well as several sports and orthopedic physical therapy clinics.
Upon graduation, Finn moved to Tennessee to experience the South and join a group of outpatient physical therapy clinics. Prior to moving to Steamboat Springs, he served as the clinic director of a large multi-specialty clinic in Cleveland, Tennessee.
Personal Interests:
Outside the clinic Finn tries to take advantage of all that Steamboat Springs has to offer including biking, fly fishing, skiing/snowboarding, and camping/backpacking while spending time with his wife Roxanne and daughter Carsen.
